塑料检查井是由检查井井座、井筒以及防护井盖或是非防护井盖构成的，通常用在建筑小区以及市政中的排水排污管道一定距离以及管道交汇处与转弯处等处，用于检查排水排污管道工作情况的一种井状的构筑物。塑料检查井井座有流槽井与沉泥井之分，流槽井主要用于污水井，沉泥井有沉泥室主要用于雨水井。
